I don’t usually like to do memes, but… I dunno. This one just seemed kind of fun and well, it’s seasonally appropriate.
1. The Christmas song I can listen to even in June is: none of them. I love Christmas music between Thanksgiving and Christmas Day when I can appreciate Lady Antebellum’s version of Baby it’s Cold Outside and the really cool, retroish version of Jingle Bells by Michael Buble and the Puppini Sisters. Also, there’s this sweet song from the movie, The Polar Express:
2. Hot chocolate, eggnog or mulled wine? Eggnog! The commercially produced, store-bought kind, please.
3. When do you put your Christmas decorations up? Usually the weekend following Thanksgiving, or whenever I can get the hubby to haul the artificial tree out of storage and deliver it to the living room.
4. What are you having for Christmas dinner? I’m hosting Christmas Eve for my side of the family and I’ll be making a mean lasagna! We’ll spend Christmas Day at Mark’s parents’ house with the whole fam damily, where I assume we will be having ham, as usual.
5. What’s your favorite Christmas tradition? We don’t have much in the line of unique traditions, but I love that my now-big kids still insist that Santa puts a chocolate orange in each of their stockings.
6. Have you ever gone carol singing? Once, when I was in high school. I went with a couple of friends and the mom of one of the friends. My mom wanted to know why I was willing to go sing to strangers when I wasn’t willing to sing in church. Probably because no one was telling me I had to sing to the strangers.
7. When did you discover the truth about Santa? Truth? What truth?
8. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? We take out the boxes of ornaments – enough to decorate four trees – choose some to put on our one tree and hang ‘em up there. Garnish with some festive ribbon or garland and an angel on top and voilà!
9. What’s the best thing about Christmas? Getting time with the kids when they’re not rushing off somewhere else and are perfectly willing to hang out as a family.
10. All I want for Christmas is: A few hours with the kids and hubby, all together at the same time, without work schedules taking someone away. Please Santa! Help make this happen! Please? I’ve been pretty good this year!

I love 9 and 10. And now that my kids are grown and gone to faraway, scattered places on the planet, I savor the small time that everyone is in the same room together.
Um, PERFECT answer to #7
I like your tradition of the chocolate orange!
It looks like we want the same thing for Christmas! I hope you have a great one and that you get to spend lots of time with your family!
I too like your answer to #7!
I’m with Tori on number 7!
Kathy
We STILL don’t have decorations up!
Nice answers – although that eggnog one has me gagging!
I’m with you on Nos. 9 and 10 — that makes for an ideal Christmas!
Good luck with number 10!
We are having eggnog this year. Haven’t had it for years…
Chocolate Oranges in the stockings is a great tradition! I love those.
#4 Hey you are right on with the lasagna. I thought we were the only ones.
Nice list. Merry Christmas, Terri!
Hmmm, I might have to copy your list for my blog. It seems like you should be able to achieve your wish list!
Oh, and no way is the right answer eggnog!!! Much less commercially produced!! Ugh!
I may have to steal/borrow this meme from you. (I like store bought eggnog too AND fruitcake.)

Nice list. I can follow you on most of these but I’m still working on our Christmas tree/decorations.
And I am a fan of eggnog this time of year (especially when it has been “enhanced”).
Gotta agree with your answer to #7 as well as the eggnog thing, although I don’t always manage to get any at the store as it isn’t always heavily stocked with that (and I will not make my own!) I don’t think I’ve ever seen chocolate oranges around here but that sounds pretty darned good. Right now, I’m contemplating the work involved in making gingerbread cookies (dough is already made and chilled) as well as doing the roll-out/cut-out sugar cookies too and praying they both will be cooperative with my rolling-out efforts this year and as I do that, I’m munching on some almond bread roll I baked yesterday which turned out fantastic! Gonna have to make some more of this stuff if there’s to be any of it around by Saturday! Have a great Christmas Terri -to you and yours!
Loved all your answers. Especially #10! Merry Christmas, Terri!
Lasagna for Christmas dinner??? I’m on my way!! Sounds Awesome!
I hope you get to have everyone together for more than just a few hours! I’m making lasagna rollups for Christmas

I’m with you. I can only enjoy Christmas music during the Christmas season. It’s just not the same otherwise. I really like that Polar Express song.
I’ve never tried eggnog. I’ve never had a chocolate orange either. Guess I’m missing out.
