Your comment about being unable to leave the house unless it was all clean -reminded me totally of my Mom! That’s exactly the way she was except that she took it a bit to extremes at times -like everything had to be just so whether we were going on trip or to the grocery store or church or even for a Sunday drive. Used to drive her one brother absolutely bonkers as he would sit in his car in front of the house, waiting, not very patiently, and eventually he would turn to me and ask “What the hell is she doing in there anyway?” Other than that, your time away sounds fantastic and the pictures are great. I loved the one of the dogs seated together but each looking in the opposite direction from the other -like they were both doing extreme guard duty, ya know! Glad you home again now though and just think, now you can break in your new dryer!

What a fun weekend! That lake is beautiful, and as always, the photos speak thousands of words! And here I thought that dogs just know how to swim! I had to teach China, but I thought it was just because she’s otherwise so mental! Glad you had fun. Our closets could use a good purge, but I know better than to make it a team sport.

Looks and sounds like a wonderful weekend! And I had NO IDEA dogs had to be taught to swim. I thought that’s why it was called the doggy paddle. So happy you had a restful time. Sounds like you ate well, also.

Sounds (and looks!) like a wonderful weekend, Terri. Thanks for sharing it here. I didn’t realize dogs had to be taught to swim, but then again, my Sheltie’s coat is so heavy, I’m sure he’d just immediately sink to the bottom. You were smart to clean house before leaving; who wants to come home and THEN have to clean?!

I’m the same as you – I cannot leave the house to go away for a weekend – unless it’s cleaned FIRST! Coming home to a dirty house is the worst!

Awwwwwww! I love how Brad taught Lucy to swim! That is priceless. And the photos are wonderful, Terri!

Land of 10,000 lakes. Seeing those dogs touch my heart. The photos are great. The one where the two dogs are watching them come back in the boat is an award winner!
